Weight Loss Diet

By the term “diet” or “standard of living”, we mean the whole of the food ration and those devices applied to it, such as its variation and its replacement, the processes and cooking of food, the number of meals daily.

There is no ideal diet, valid for all people, as the individual variability is very great; in fact, in addition to providing the body with the calories needed for its physiological needs, the diet must consider the habits and cultural traditions of the individual himself.

The dietary rules to be observed concern the organism and food:

  • For the organism it is necessary to know the physiological situation, the total caloric requirement and the subdivision in nutritive principles.
  • For foodstuffs, it is necessary to know the body composition, the assimilation coefficients and the cooking techniques to maintain the nutritional properties of the food.

The diet to lose weight is a particular diet addressed to subjects who are overweight or with pathological characteristics such as obesity.

In these diets, to be carried out under the strict control of the Nutritionist, particular foods are administered that have characteristics suitable for the pathology in question.

Eat well Sleep well

During the night between 26 and 27 October, solar time returned in force and we were able to sleep an hour longer. Our body certainly benefited, especially if we were able to rest well

In fact, several studies have amply shown that restorative sleep lasting at least 6-7 hours brings important psychophysical benefits to our body

We see some of these studies whose full text can be traced back by following the links on the bibliography page.

Physical Activity and Wellness

Movement and nutrition are an inseparable combination to reach a state of physical and mental wellness. A fair amount of physical activity should be provided in the daily life of all of us.

The type and intensity of training depend on many factors such as age, gender, health conditions and chronic stress. It would be necessary to find the right dose of duration and quality of activity to benefit from the movement and to prevent this from becoming a source of further stress.

Rusk with honey and hemp seeds by thewealthyspoon proposed by Nutritionist Dr. Paola Proietti Cesaretti

Toasted bread slices with hemp seeds

I love this breakfast when I am in a hurry and I want in any case to eat something healthy, sweet and filling.

You need two or three wholemeal rusks, honey (in this case I used a sunflower organic honey) and a spoon of peeled hemp seeds. I suggest you to add a seasonal fresh fruit and a cup of coffee or tea and semi-skimmed milk.

Healthy Drink with Blueberries, Mint and Lime

Flavored water with aroma of Blueberries, Mint and Lime, not only a pleasant drink … but even an unexpected help for us whenever we feel the “heavy legs”

Tips for Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by a genetic predisposition that causes strong systemic inflammation and an alteration of the immune system. It can affect the skin, nails, scalp, genital tract and joints.

Psoriatic symptoms can be triggered or increased in certain situations: stress, impaired intestinal function (leaky gut or SIBO), consumption of certain foods with an immunogenic and pro-inflammatory effect, pharmacological treatments or a lack of micronutrients (vitamin D, vitamins of group B, Magnesium, …), presence of bacterial, viral or fungal infections (they activate the immune system).
