Medicinal Herbs

Numerous plants and herbs with powerful active ingredients are used in medicine as an alternative or in addition to synthetic drugs: the therapeutic use of plants registered as drugs (herbal medicine) is the subject of the medical branch of herbal medicine, which uses the method of scientific medicine and which uses scientifically validated plant products. Medicinal plants are defined as plants that carry out even mild pharmacological activity.

Unlike current monomolecular synthetic drugs, natural products from plants are mixtures of substances, some of which are pharmacologically active (active ingredients).
